Our Data Visibility

At OUTCO, we believe in the power of data to inform and deliver insight and place transparent data visibility at the core of our services

Transparent Data Visibility

In today’s world, data is a core requirement for every Facility Manager. From the monthly reports that enable you to monitor contractors and update your own clients or company, to the job notifications that let you know a specific task has been carried out on time. Or maybe it’s site-specific remote sensing reports that reveal the state of the drains or surveys on problem trees or reports the areas of your carpark that need mending, fixing or replacing. Data underpins it all.

At OUTCO, we believe in the power of data to inform and deliver insight and place transparent data visibility at the core of our services. It’s not just technical data that matters – we publish information about customer satisfaction and experience – including the number of complaints we get and the outcomes. We also conduct and publish communications and customer insight research to help improve customer satisfaction.

OUTCO continues to innovate with data. Our IT division is an extremely fast-moving, agile data software house in itself that has been specifically created to help businesses manage risk and strengthen their overall decision-making ability. We’re here to help you automate compliance processes via API and data platforms. We’ll also go the extra mile to offer company-specific integrations such as API services, desktop and web apps or data integration.

Why data matters

Transparent data is important to improve our service for you. The reporting of our data to you promotes higher quality and more efficient services, choice and accountability. Today, we routinely:

  • Track and publish progress against our agreed target with customers through a series of impact indicators and client face-to-face analyses that flow from each clients’ business plans;
  • Publish performance datasets, including operational data, and people data such as workforce & vehicle management and performance-related pay for specific projects.

Open and transparent data with our clients is seen as the key to opening up the facilities management industry. It drives economic productivity by enabling new systems, processes and products to emerge, while supporting other complementary innovations.

Outdoor services data

Jobs for infrastructure clients involve manpower, apparatus, vehicles and/or plant, and are optimized using route planning software that saves everyone time and money by identifying the shortest possible route.

This is coupled with our use of telematics software, which keeps operators from getting lost, a simple way for them to receive roadside assistance and collection of further data that can be used to maximize our performance for you.

We combine this with operator geo-tracking, giving us the granular data repository required to see and demonstrate factually what any operator did on any job on any day, anywhere.

Our open data strategy drives us to make these improvements within our own company.

Weather import, app, portal, Nimbus & Pulse

Weather is a core factor for any outdoor infrastructure service, and OUTCO has a successful partnership with Europe’s leading weather analysis and forecasting agency Metdesk which hooks directly into our core IT business intelligence processing.

OUTCO ties in Metdesk’s 904 million prediction points of weather with geo-locale’s specific requirement to ensure that the optimal resource is applied for your situation. We then transfer this data through to our Pulse app and onto our customer portals.

This means you know what jobs will be completed for you on the day, when your operator has arrived and when they’ve completed the work. It’s all controlled by Nimbus, our backend IT system, which uses AI logic and BI outbound messaging to proactively communicate with you.

Auto invoicing, service notifications & STEM research

One of OUTCO’s advantages as an infrastructure company offering multiple service lines is that we can ensure reduced costs through centralised invoicing & credit control.

Our centralised auto invoicing reduces invoice trails and admin time, and is fully bespoke and hooked into your systems through API tie-ins. We also automatically issue service notifications to keep you informed.

OUTCO is also a recognised industry pioneer in STEM research, investigating operator-less automated technology including the OUTCO RoboGritter Advanced Research Programme (RARP 2019) and the IOTT Automated Temperature Sensor Programme (ATSOP 2016).
