OUTCO is also keen to engage with schools and colleges to discuss the career opportunities in our industry and support young people entering the workplace.
Environmental Sustainability to support communities;
OUTCO has a strong focus on the environment and work hard to minimise the impact of any works to undertaken. Whether this be sourcing supply chain services or procuring materials locally to reduce its virgin source, or reducing the impact of vehicle movements. We are constantly evaluating recycling opportunities to reduce waste to landfill, and we will endeavour to take the most environmentally sustainable course of action in all aspects of our delivery. This not only reduces the requirement for expensive disposal of the contaminated material but reduces the quantity of virgin material extracted from local quarries. These systems can significantly reduce the vehicular movements as well as the Co2 impact on the community. We are continually improving the way we deliver in accordance with retail client environmental strategy and this can be evidenced by the ongoing development of OUTCO’s sustainable asphalts.
Delivering quality with innovative solutions
OUTCO is proud to hold ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015 and 9001:2015 accreditations. These are the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, this is not only included in our service provisions but also the materials we use to complete these projects.
Working with suppliers across the UK, OUTCO lead the way in our industry with actions to reduce our carbon emissions, both as a business and when providing innovative solutions to our clients. This includes practices such as the purchase of electric powered garden maintenance tools and equipment, investment in our fleet to hybrid and fully electrical vehicles and the launch of a low emissions asphalt.
OUTCO can supply clients with a low emissions asphalt solution, the asphalt is mixed at 40 degrees less than conventional asphalt, reducing gasses such as Nitrogen Oxides, Oxide and Carbon Dioxide which has the equivalent effect on particulate matter as planting 16 trees per km asphalt laid or removing 40 cars from the network.
