WINTER GRITTING OPERATIVES – SELF EMPLOYED OR CONTRACTORS

OUTCO are recruiting for Winter Gritting Operatives to maintain and improve our clients’ outdoor spaces, keeping everyone moving safely during the winter season. As a Winter Operative, you will be a key essential worker, driving gritting vehicles to spread salt during colder days and nights.

We are looking for a number of new team members to support with our Winter operations to cover all areas around the UK.

This will be fixed term between November 2021 until April 2022.

The Role

Duties include night and day driving and manual labour work when required. Previous experience is preferred but not essential and full training will be provided along with a vehicle and equipment.

About You

• Be honest, enthusiastic, and able to undertake physical work and driving duties mainly at night. Previous experience in similar role highly advantageous.
• Be available full-time to work between the hours of (6pm – 6am)
• Hold a category preferably B&E license (max three points) – preferred but not essential
• Able to carry out heavy physical labour
• Be able to carry out basic roadside repairs.
• Be a hard worker and a problem solver.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to self-manage.
• Have access to personal email on a daily basis and have basic PC skills.
• Have the right to work in the UK and consent to obtaining a DBS check (reimbursed by the Company).

Licence/Certification Requirements – UK Driving Licence with 3 points or less (essential).
