Meet the team
Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in London and Vancouver before holding various senior Finance Director roles within Granada Plc and Compass Group Plc.
He became Managing Director of the Business and Industry Division of Compass in 2005. Through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions the division grew from £330m to £850m and transformed from a food service business to a multi-service facilities management company.
Andrew’s final role at Compass was as European Sales Director delivering 12% annual growth across a £5.8bn business in 28 European Countries. Prior to joining OUTCO, Andrew led the successful growth of foodtech business BlueRunner Solutions.
Andrew joined OUTCO in 2019.
Karen joined OUTCO as our Head of HR in March 2021. Karen is CIPD qualified and has a postgraduate certificate in employment law which was obtained through the University of Surrey.
Karen has over 20 years’ experience of working in HR across various sectors such as manufacturing, defence, call centres, facilities and hospitality.
Throughout her career Karen has travelled extensively and worked in India, America and Europe. As an HR specialist Karen has designed, project managed and implemented various people agendas in support of transformational change and cultural alignment, and has TUPE transferred (in and out) over 5,000 employees.
Alistair qualified as a chartered accountant (ICEAW) in 1993 having trained with PwC. Alistair then spent approx. 15 years in the transport industry in senior roles for Arriva, English Welsh & Scottish Railways and Transport for London (TfL) where he helped implement SAP and led the design and implementation of TFL’s finance shared service centre.
Alistair’s more recent experience has been working for private equity in the healthcare and technology sectors where he has had significant turnaround, restructuring, M&A and exit experience. Alistair has also worked for an AIM listed technology business which involved the relocation of the procurement and finance functions to Switzerland.
Matthew is a proven business leader with significant blue chip experience in senior commercial and operational leadership roles. He joined OUTCO in March 2021 from Compass Group plc.
As MD Matthew made significant progress in shaping and leading the delivery of a strategic plan for the business. Whilst at Compass Group UK&I he led the successful retention and extension of some of the top volume and value contracts.
Matthew held 3 MD level positions at Compass Group UK&I, prior to which he held senior roles at Tesco, Aramark and Whitbread.
Neil has had a varied career spent in the support services, FM, IS and Defence sectors, within operational domains. A leader and advisor on numerous international change initiatives and integration programmes, he has delivered innovative operational transformation, utilising significant executive board experience, to drive optimisation and efficiency.
Neil previously served for 23 years in the Army, the majority of which in a joint service capacity within intelligence, counter-terrorism, geospatial and engineering roles
Brendon has been with OUTCO for 13 years and is the driving force behind the smart technology enabled platform that underpins the business.
Brendon has comprehensive and enterprise-wide experience across multiple technology platforms, overseeing the development and delivery of the technology roadmap and key IT operations.
Brendon’s experience prior to OUTCO was in the manufacturing sector, where he spent 13 years in the technical print and packaging industry implementing operational strategies to deliver efficiencies and growth.
Steve has held various positions within the company, including commercial, contracts, compliance and operational roles, working his was to his current role as group commercial director.
Previously Steve worked in both the rail and civil construction industries in various leadership roles.
Mark Hogan leads our Grounds Maintenance division, he is Horticulturally trained and has over 35 years’ experience in the environmental services sector, providing commercial grounds maintenance, waste, environmental cleansing, and associated outdoor services within both the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining OUTCO in 2020 Mark previously worked within many of the UK’s leading service companies and national Grounds Maintenance providers, amassing a wealth of industry knowledge and extensive experience in developing and leading customer focused solutions that enhance the environment and add real value. Mark leads our nationwide Grounds Services team, focused on ensuring your outdoor assets remain compliant, aesthetically pleasing and open for business.
