What is Carbon Literacy Training and Why is it So Important?

Carbon Literacy Training is more than just information; it’s a way to empower the team at OUTCO to become climate-conscious decision-makers. The training covers the basics of climate change, the role human activities play in carbon emissions, and the impact these emissions have on biodiversity and ecosystems.

With climate change already leading to biodiversity losses at a rate unseen in human history, understanding our impact is essential.

As stated by the Carbon Literacy Project, training is:  ‘An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organizational basis.’
